longwood gardens in the fall

When you think about fall, you don't think about vibrant summer blooms. But, everything was still in bloom, and bursting with life for this maternity photography session at Longwood Gardens. Which, seems like the perfect setting to capture pregnancy. The rich color of the fall sun combined with the vibrancy and variety of the summer season made it an incredible backdrop for this photo session.
The best part about having your photos taken at Longwood Gardens is that not only do you get photos taken at an incredible location, but you then get to enjoy the gardens after your photo session. Thus, my recommendation for any kind of photography at Longwood Gardens would be to build your schedule to make the most out of your garden experience. It truly is a magnificent photography location, and a wonderful place to wander.
For this photo session we enjoyed many of Longwood's locations such as the Peirce-du Pont House, the Italian Water Garden, and the Meadow Garden Trail. Near the end of the photo shoot at Longwood Gardens it started to rain, but we were still able to get photos at the Flower Garden Walk. When I was editing the photos I could zoom in and see hundreds of individual rain drops falling!

1906 dining experience
One thing you might want to consider if you want to make a grand experience at Longwood Gardens, is carefully crafting the timing of your photo session to not only have a chance to wander around Longwood Gardens, but also make a reservation at 1906. I was treated to a special birthday dinner here once, and it really was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend considering this option as a ticket into the gardens is required to dine at 1906. Visit Longwood's website for more information: https://longwoodgardens.org .
